A Real Life Pong Game is Now Available Through Kickstarter (VIDEO)

Pong Table

Last year, an inventive fan named Daniel Perdomo took his love of video games and successfully created a real life, working Pong table in honor of the Atari game. Showing off the process of what it took to create this life-sized version of the game on YouTube, the table works a lot like an air hockey table, allowing gamers to utilize a sliding paddle system to knock the magnetized “ball” back and forth with challengers. On the plus side, this table also doubles as a coffee table for a family of gamers to utilize when they’re not besting their opponents in high-stakes Pong tournaments!

It seems that a lot of interest for the table was never forgotten. A year later, an official Kickstarter has been opened by the creative team behind it, which allows fans to pledge money and acquire their own life-sized Pong game. Unfortunately, for those who do wish to receive their own, the minimum pledge will cost about $1,000. This hefty dollar amount guarantees a coffee table delivery sometime in December, which comes in four varieties (Classic, black, brown, and white). For $5,000, fans can receive a table signed by Atari founder Nolan Bushnell, and will come with two seating cubes to go with it. Check out the table below to see it in action:

Not only does the table allow fans to play the game, it also comes with USB charging ports, a Bluetooth speaker to stream music while you play, and a built-in clock. As of the time of writing, the Kickstarter has about 21 hours left on it and has already breached its $250,000 goal. So, for those who are interested in pledging towards the creation of this table (even if it’s just for a commemorative T-shirt), pledges can be made here. For more news on Kickstarter projects, check out the articles below:
