Quake Champions Returns to Live Beta – $1 Million Competition Coming Soon (VIDEO)

Quake Champions

E3 2017 has provided gamers with enough to drool about for months to come, and the hits kept rolling as Bethesda took the stage on Sunday night. During their presentation at the expo, they offered up a bit of news about Quake Champions. In the video that debuted, fans were able to see the focus put on making the quick-paced shoot-em-up into an eSports title. It was also revealed that the game’s closed beta would be open again, and it will remain this way 24/7, with new players being able to sign up and receive their key on the spot.

Three new maps, the new Tri-Bolt weapon, and a plethora of other features have all been added to Quake Champions with the E3 2017 update. If that isn’t enough to satiate players’ appetites, the trailer led up to the reveal that a $1 million competition will be held at this year’s QuakeCon in Dallas on August 26. As if the running and gunning of Quake Champions isn’t awesome enough, they’ve gone and brought a familiar face to the fold. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz will become a playable character, and he will have his own voice lines, weapons, and more. He even has the perk of being able to dual-wield any weapon because what Nazi-killing badass wouldn’t? Players can sign up for the closed-yet-open beta on the game’s website. Stay tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as more details on the Quake World Championship are expected to be released soon.
