PS4 Platinum Wireless Headsets Delayed Until 2017
Earlier this year, during Sony’s unveiling of the PlayStation 4 (PS4) Pro, the tech giant also announced a new PS4 Platinum Wireless Headset. The new headset designed for their respective console was slated for a holiday release. Unfortunately, those eager to get their hands on the new headset will not find them under their Christmas trees this year.

The Platinum headset is described by Sony as follows:
The Platinum Wireless Headset redefines premium gaming audio by creating an incredibly rich and detailed soundstage for your virtual world, faithfully delivering everything from the whisper of ghosts to the thunder of guns in stunning 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound powered by revolutionary 3D Audio technology. Its advanced, built-in dual mics capture your voice and cancel out distractions, while a comfortable design and extended-life battery keep you playing longer. This is how games were made to sound.
The sleek design and the quality of the frame look mighty impressive. To provide gamers more immersive sound quality, a companion app will also be available so that you can custom tune the headset with various audio modes. The combination of comfort, aesthetics, and sound quality are sure to make this a hot item for avid gamers.
The headset is still available for pre-order for $159.99, but won’t be available until January 2017. Sony does, however, have their Gold Wireless Headsets that run between $70-$100, depending on where you purchase them. You can purchase them through Amazon below:
