Death Note has been considerably one of the most discussed anime series since it’s release in 2006 with some very well known characters that have weaseled their way into hearts and homes across the globe.

Ryuk, the shinigami has an obsession with apples, is a being of the spirit world that can only acquire these tasty treats when he’s among the mortal realm. So, it’s only fitting that the recent release of the catchy little tune by the name Pen Pineapple Apple Pen was redone, Ryuk style!

Pen Pineapple Apple Pen, or PPAP, was written and sung by Japanese comedian Kosaka Daimaoh who’s stage name is Piko-Taru. The original video was released August 26th of 2016 and since then it has widely circulated the internet in its infectious tune and simplistic lyrics that everyone knows.
