Pokemon Sword And Shield Makes Gigantamax Meowth Look Like Longcat (VIDEO)
Pokemon Sword and Shield versions have revived a 10+ year-old meme by making Gigantamax Meowth look like longcat! Remember longcat and how long he/she was? For those that don’t remember, Longcat gained near instant meme status when its owner posted a picture of the cat’s…well, full length on the internet. Game Freak sure remembers as you can see by the uncanny resemblance between these two beautiful beasts. Check ’em out below:
Gigantamax Meowth will be included as an early purchase bonus available until Jan. 15 2o2o. You will also receive a Gigantamax Eevee/Pikachu if your Switch detects save data for Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee or Pikachu. All the trainer has to do is Dynamax their Meowth in battle to get the long tower-like feline creature. Here’s a video of some of the other Gigantamax Pokemon in action:
In the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield titles for Switch, Gigantamax is a new battle feature that certain Pokemon (Meowth, chonky-Pikachu, Butterfree, Eevee, Charizard, etc.) can use. Basically, Gigantamax makes your Pokemon very large and gives them a special attack. Obviously, there is something strange in the Pokemon food in the Galar region because I’ve never seen my Meowth get that long before…
Pokemon Sword and Shield versions will be out for Nintendo Switch on November 15.
What do you think of long-Meowth and the other Gigantamax Pokemon? Are you excited, confused, or simply indifferent? Do you plan on picking up Pokemon Sword, Pokemon Shield, or both?
