Pokemon Sword And Shield Expansion Pass Release Date Announced (VIDEO)

Earlier this year, Pokemon officially revealed the first major expansion pass headed to Pokemon Sword and Shield – The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. After months of waiting, the community finally has a release date! Arriving just in time for indoor Summer gaming, the DLC will arrive June 17th for the Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer below for a peek at what’s to come:

Not only are the Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion passes bringing over 200 Pokemon to catch, The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra feature a chance to catch previous legendaries from previous games, new characters, and areas to explore. If you’re into dressing up your trainer with all the latest fashion statements, the DLC will introduce a wide array of outfits, accessories, and customization as well.

The Isle of Armor features sunny expanses, martial arts inspired themes, and new Gigantamaxes. Meanwhile, The Crown Tundra lest you explore a frozen, snowy landscape, catch glorious bird-type Pokemon, and more. Of course, there’s more to it than just that and additional information will be revealed as we approach the June 17th release date.
