Pokemon Sleep And Pokemon Go Plus Plus Revealed

Though not the phenomenon is was back in 2016, Pokémon GO nonetheless continues to be a popular mobile title for its simple gameplay as well as a wealth consistent updates. As GO is a game that requires players to walk around on a regular basis, some are likely to have a nap in between especially lengthy sessions. Even in sleep, it appears Nintendo has found a way to keep the gaming going with Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon Go Plus Plus.

Developed by Select Button, the studio behind fellow Pokémon mobile game Magikarp Jump, Pokémon Sleep is a new app centered around utilizing the time players spend sleeping to further train their Pokémon. Launching sometime in 2020, not much else was revealed about Pokémon Sleep, but Nintendo did humorously state that “several Snorlax were consulted on this, in case you were wondering.”

In addition, Nintendo took this opportunity to announce a spiffy new peripheral intended to help catch these Zs, the Pokémon GO Plus Plus. As one might surmise, this doubly-named device is a further upgraded version of the Pokémon GO Plus, this iteration featuring extended support for Pokémon Sleep. As for how the device might function, Nintendo confirms its double-functionality as a peripheral for Pokémon GO as well as a Bluetooth sleep-measuring device for Pokémon Sleep.

Of course, Nintendo’s sleepy new endeavor wan’t the only news to come out of the Pokémon press conference, as another new game was also announced in the form of Pokémon Masters, allowing players to battle numerous fan-favorite trainers from throughout Poké-past.
