New Pokemon Masters Game Revealed

The Pokemon Press Conference was held on May 28th, 2019, revealing four separate announcements from The Pokemon Company and related developers. In addition to a new sleeping app, Pokemon Go Plus, and Home, the team showed off a new game titled Pokemon Masters. Though details are relatively sparse for the time being, more details will arrive soon. Here’s the official Twitter shout out:

Pokemon Masters’s conception began as a suggestion from Game Freak’s designer and director Ken Sugimori. According to the studio, Sugimori wanted to create a franchise property that featured “all past and present Pokemon trainers from the video games.” Not only will players get to battle alongside fan-favorite characters such as the classic water-type gym leader Misty, rock-type gym leader Brock, players can  even battle side-by-side Sinnoh champion Cynthia.

Based on gameplay footage shown during the conference, Pokemon Masters is a mobile title and will feature three-on-three battles. Players will get to control each trainer on their team with flashy moves such as the “Rock-Solid Rockslide,” in which Brock literally flexes so hard that his shirts disintegrates into thin air. Sweet.
