PlayStation Plus Free Games For October 2019 Revealed
Sony recently concluded its State of Play stream, wherein it released a few interesting game reveals alongside the release date for the highly anticipated The Last of Us Part II. In celebration of the release date reveal – which also gave us our first look at Joel – Sony also announced the upcoming free games lineup for October 2019 as part of its PlayStation Plus subscription program.
This month’s lineup was an action-packed one, providing subscribers with both Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders III. Starting in October, subscribers will instead be able to snag both MLB The Show 2019 and The Last of Us Remastered for free. Here’s the breakdown of both titles courtesy of Sony:
- The Last of Us Remastered – Winner of over 200 game of the year awards, The Last of Us has been remastered for the PlayStation®4. Now featuring higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, in addition to several other gameplay improvements. Abandoned cities reclaimed by nature. A population decimated by a modern plague. Survivors are killing each other for food, weapons whatever they can get their hands on. Joel, a brutal survivor, and Ellie, a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years, must work together if they hope to survive their journey across the US.
- MLB The Show 2019 – Swing for the fences in the latest edition of the popular sports franchise MLB The Show 19 from San Diego Studio (SDS) – and play the sport your way. Relive the biggest MLB moments in history with Moments, where you can recreate the most famous plays (Babe Ruth’s called shot anyone?) and showdowns in baseball history. Or, speed-up full seasons with March to October, which lets you play only the biggest and most exciting games to focus on getting your team to the postseason and beyond in less time. You can also create your own player and rise through the MLB ranks with Road to the Show or play against others as baseball’s greatest stars and legends in Diamond Dynasty.
Both PlayStation Plus games will be available for download beginning on October 1st and running through November 4th.
