Persona 5 Rumored For Nintendo Switch Release

Persona 5 made a phenomenal appearance at The Game Awards last week and it took all Japanese RPG fans by surprise. With plenty of noteworthy trolls from Nintendo throughout the night, the team announced the arrival of the Persona 5 character, Joker, to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the first upcoming DLC pack. While there’s currently no release date as of yet, there’s another piece of eyecatching news pertaining to Persona 5 – it’s currently rumored for the Nintendo Switch.

Based on a report from Nintendo Soup, the latest Persona series sequel hailed as JRPG artistry by critics and fans alike, Persona 5 might be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2019. Though the source is rather debatable in terms of reliability, a Persona fan who goes by the online alias MysticDistance, said sources reported “rather damning” evidence to substantiate this.

According to the source, the decision to create a Nintendo Switch port has been a consideration for Atlus and team since mid-2017. However, the source is a “longtime veteran in the industry” so “their words shouldn’t be taken too lightly.” Until Atlus makes an official statement on the matter, this is a rumor yet to be confirmed.

Passing on a question to you, would you be stoked to see the highly recommended Persona game come to the Nintendo Switch? It sounds to me like everyone wants to make the Switch nowadays.
