Paladins Dev Announces Cross-Play Shooter Rogue Company (VIDEO)

Even if you haven’t heard of Hi-Rez Studios, chances are you’ve heard of one of their games. The studio is responsible for some of the most popular free-to-play titles like Smite and Paladins. The company also put out its own take on a Battle Royale game last year with Realm Royale. All three games are available on all major consoles and PC, and the company’s stance on bringing cross-play progression makes them very player-friendly. That said, it doesn’t sound like Hi-Rez Studios is content with just running three popular games. As we learned earlier this week, they’re looking to add a fourth, and the studio has released a teaser trailer for their new game, Rogue Company. Check it out here:

Not a whole lot of information is directly communicated in the trailer. Based on visual information it looks like the game will be a third-person class-based PvP shooter. There might be some Hero shooter elements, à la Paladins, like abilities and distinctive loadouts given the range of weapons we see here. From katanas to revolvers to assault rifles, there seems to be a weapon for everyone’s tastes! While the art-style definitely skews a bit more realistic than past Hi-Rez games, there’s still an awesome over the top feel in the design.

No release date was given yet, though players can sign up for Rogue Company’s alpha access at the game’s website.
