Night School Studio’s Supernatural Adventure Game ‘Oxenfree’ Announced for the Nintendo Switch (VIDEO)
The thrilling and supernatural adventure game, Oxenfree, is making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Slyly announced on the official Twitter by developer Night School Studio in morse code, it simply reads “Coming soon”. Initially, the game was released on several other major platforms including Xbox One, PS4, PC, Linux, and iOS with rave reviews for its compelling narrative and suspenseful pace. Oxenfree offers an attractive narrative and a deceptively sweet art style to distract players from the darker themes. Players assume the role of Alex to attend a part on a military base called Edwards Island, but in the process, she discovers details of the island’s horrific past and the mysteries that surround it:
Oxenfree is a supernatural thriller about a group of friends who unwittingly open a ghostly rift. Play as Alex, a bright, rebellious teenager who brings her new stepbrother Jonas to an overnight party on an old military island. The night takes a terrifying turn when you unwittingly open a ghostly gate spawned from the island’s cryptic past. How you deal with these events, your peers, and the ominous creatures you’ve unleashed is up to you. YOU determine every aspect of Alex’s story while exploring Edwards Island, uncovering the base’s dark past, and changing the course of your friends’ lives.”
Each conversation decide how the story proceeds and determines Alex’s relationships with other in-game characters. Additionally, Oxenfree features voice work from renown actors from games such as The Wolf Among Us, Borderlands, and art direction from a Disney alum, and much more.
