Overwatch Workshop Is Now Live On PC and PS4 (VIDEO)

Overwatch Workshop

The Overwatch Workshop has been available in the Public Test Realm for a little while now, with players seemingly having a blast messing around with the game’s code to create their way to play the popular FPS. Now that the testing has been completed, the Workshop is officially live on both PC and PlayStation 4.

“Create games in ways previously unimaginable with the Workshop,” reads Blizzard’s website. “The Workshop is a simplified game scripting system that expands the customization features available in the Game Browser. Within the Workshop, you’ll create a Script to add Rules and unique play Conditions on top of the established Overwatch game modes you already know and love. Rules can do many things, like change how a hero’s movement and abilities work, modify how players are damaged or healed, or even display text under certain circumstances.”

In the Overwatch Workshop, players are essentially able to create their own game modes as well as tweak how heroes perform. Want Torbjorn to freeze opponents? That can be done. Have the urge to create a mode similar to Super Smash Bros.? Go for it! Really, the possibilities are seemingly endless and the workshop will surely bring about great things moving forward.

Overwatch is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with the Overwatch Workshop being accessible on PC and PS4. Xbox One players can expect it to arrive in the near future.
