According to a job posting from Blizzard, they are looking to hire interns for some kind of unannounced Overwatch game. Technically the post is looking for a Generalist Artist Intern to “help create a wide range of assets to help bring our game to life”, but it also states the candidates should have “Knowledge and understanding of the Overwatch universe” – could we be seeing an Overwatch spin-off?

The job posting says that they are looking to hire interns for the summer of 2018 and it gives a description of the job duties, as well as a list of requirements to apply including being currently enrolled in a college or university, or planning to enroll in Fall 2017. The ad states the job objective as follows:

“An unannounced project at Blizzard is seeking an intern to help create a wide range of assets to help bring our game to life.  You will work closely with our concept, environment and character teams to create hard surface and organic props, weapons and possibly characters that are both detail-oriented and consistent with the art style we’ve defined.”

Some fans have began to speculate on what this new game that requires knowledge of Overwatch could actually be. When a Neogaf user by the name of Nirolak brought this job ad to light, people began naming off what they thought this unannounced Overwatch game would end up being. Things like “Overwatch the Card Game”, an Overwatch mobile game, “Overwatch Smash Bros”, and the list goes on.
