Game Director Says Overwatch + Nintendo Switch Would be “Very Challenging”

Overwatch + Nintendo Switch

Jeff Kaplan was answering questions about Overwatch on Reddit like he does often, and one fan asked if they were “up to the challenge of being on Switch”. Kaplan first gushes about his love of the Nintendo Switch, but then admits “Getting OW on the Switch is very challenging for us. But we’re always open minded about exploring possible platforms.” Well it sounds like there’s hope, at least! Fans immediately started gushing about the idea of Overwatch + Nintendo Switch and they couldn’t contain their excitement.

“The Switch would be an awesome platform for Overwatch! I can already see myself tethering to my phone’s hotspot and playing on the go. Hopefully you guys consider it, I’m sure there’s a lot of people interested in a Switch version” – BenTheTechWiz.

“Overwatch on the switch would be amazing! I would spend way more hours in Overwatch if I could take it with me when I travel (and I already spend hours per day)!” – VideoGameBucket

“I’ve been wanting a Switch version of Overwatch ever since the console was revealed. Splatoon has shown me the light with gyro aiming and I’d love to play Overwatch with that control scheme. At the very least, I think it’d be cool to see a hero in Overwatch with a similar kit to what the Inklings can do.” – dokugami

It’s hard not to get excited about Overwatch + Nintendo Switch! Playing competitive on the go? Yes, please! Would you be happy to have Overwatch on the Switch?
