No Man’s Sky Companions Update Adds Pets And More (VIDEO)

No Man's Sky Companions Update

No Man’s Sky will likely go down as one of the greatest comebacks in gaming history. From broken promises to consistent free content updates, the developers at Hello Games have turned that ship around in a way not many were expecting. That said, the latest update, titled Companions, has arrived and it brings a bounty of pets along for the ride.

Hello Games’ Sean Murray dropped the Companions trailer on Twitter earlier today, showing off all of the shenanigans that players will be able to get into with their new pets. You can adopt them, breed them, raise them, customize them, train them, and talk to them. Most importantly, however, you will be able to pet them. Players will even be able to ride some of the larger creatures. Check out all of this and more in the No Man’s Sky Companions trailer below:

The developers also released a lengthy post on the game’s website to accompany the Companions update. They note everything that is new in the latest No Man’s Sky update as well as point out a handful of bugs they have fixed. In addition to this, they also mentioned that warp and loading times have been “significantly improved” on the PS4 version of the game. You can check out the full patch notes for yourself right here.

No Man’s Sky is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and new-gen consoles. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
