Level-5’s RPG series, Ni no Kuni, has a new sequel coming in 2017 called Ni no Kuni II : Revenant Kingdom. In the first few games of the Ni no Kuni series, we followed Oliver while he traveled to another world in order to save his mother from the beckoning evil. Full of magic and tamed creatures called familiars, these games are wonderful. Fans of the RPG series have always praised their visual design and the characters’ complexity and believability. Last year at the Playstation Experience event, we were given the announcement about Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, and fans went wild. At this year’s PSX, fans were given a new trailer and it is beautiful:

The trailer, called Evan’s Choice, makes us itching to play! “Darkness looms over the land… but with the help of some new friends… the light may yet return.” Flashes of gorgeous animation and some clips of in-game battles help show the detail that went into this PS4 exclusive. The game overview from the Playstation website says,

“Re-enter the animated world of Ni no Kuni in the sequel to the role-playing masterpiece developed by LEVEL-5. Explore a beautifully crafted world and experience the gripping story in an all-new RPG adventure. LEVEL-5 reunites with Yoshiyuki Momose on character design and Music created by Joe Hisaishi in the production of the next Ni no Kuni tale.”
