New Vampyr Developer Webseries Episode Takes Us To The Streets Of London (VIDEO)

DONTNOD may be known for the Life is Strange series, but their efforts on their upcoming title is looking mighty fine in the latest Vampyr developer webseries episode. Taking fans to the street of London, DONTNOD presents the second episode that tells of the creative process on music, design, and narrative. In “Architects of the Obscure”, different team members offer their accounts on recreating districts of London and contributing to the grisly atmosphere of the game.

The Vampyr developer trailer gives fans insight on the behind the scenes of the musical composition of the game to the overall design schematics to explore. The collaborative efforts between composer Olivier Deriviere and celloist Eric-Maria Couturier exudes an eerie, macabre atmosphere that is supposed to “twist your guts”.

Meanwhile, narrative director Sephane Beauverger and art director Gregory Szucs introduce the four different districts players will get to explore during their time with Vampyr. Since recreating the entirety of London was less feasible, the team focused their efforts on what they thought were iconic areas in the early 1900s. Exclusive gameplay footage is even shown toward the end of the latest webseries episode, showcasing the ethereal combat mechanics and its brutality.
