If you’re one of the hundreds of people that have flocked to theaters to see Rogue One (let’s face it, that’s pretty much everyone), you’ll remember quite fondly the extremist Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, a character that most certainly made an impact on us all. For those who might have wanted to see more of this character, there’s hope yet! Disney XD has released a brand new teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars Rebels episode “Ghosts of Geonosis”, and with it, we get a pretty darn good look at Saw’s character before he became an extremist. The crew returns to Geonosis in search of a missing rebel team sent to investigate suspicious activity there and are surprised by what they find. After finding a missing rebel team member, the Ghost crew discovers another surprise on Geonosis and work to conceal it from Imperial Forces.

Just a few weeks ago, Saw’s interaction in upcoming Star Wars Rebels episodes was announced as excited fans took to Twitter to mark the occasion. Since then, it’s been revealed that Forest Whitaker will indeed be voicing the character, and in the above video, unused footage from Rogue One was used to help flesh out the character’s background a little bit. The promo promises some seriously exciting things ahead for fans, so if you’ve been keeping up with the show since day one and want to see what pushed Saw to become the extremist that he was, you’ll definitely want to watch this episode when it premiers.
