All-New “Core” Pokemon Game Arriving In 2019
Pokemon Let’s Go was already big news to reach fans online, a Nintendo Switch title that brings a more immersive pocket monster experience. The official reveal trailer showed a Poke Ball controller, catching success rates, two-player capabilities, and a bunch of gameplay cuts. And all of this Pokemon-catching fun will become available this November, but that’s not all the Pokemon Company and GameFreak have in store. As a matter of fact, there’s another game heading this way in 2019.

During a media conference held in Japan, executives revealed that another Nintendo Switch title will arrive next year, but in the traditional gaming style everyone knows and loves. According to series director Junichi Masuda, it’s being developed at the same time as Let’s Go series. Here’s a quote from the presentation thanks to the fine folks over at Polygon:
We’re also hard at work on another core RPG designed for Nintendo Switch. It’s being designed simultaneously with Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! Today I can only tell you of its existence, but I can assure you that there’s another that we’re pouring a lot of our energy into over at Game Freak.”
This mysterious Pokemon game will arrive during the second half of 2019, which is well over a year from now. However, fans can expect it to play like the traditional style of game such as the latest entries of Pokemon X & Y and Sun & Moon. For now, it’s being kept under wraps and will likely stay that way until the release of the upcoming Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! series arriving November 16th, 2018.
That’s a lot of pocket monster coming out in the next year. What do you think they’ll name the 2019 title as? It has to be some sort of well-recognized dichotomy unless they developers want to change it up this time.
