New Pokémon Funko Pops Include Fan-Favorites And Mr. Mime

For decades now, Pokémon fever has captivated a generation with numerous adorable creatures. With the recent release of Pokémon Sword and Shield and the game having one of the most successful launches ever for the franchise, it is clear that the juggernaut series has shown no signs of slowing down. This, of course, means Pokémon merchandise has also become quite fruitful and diverse, spawning lines of Pokémon waffle irons, Rocklove jewelry and more. Best known for their Funko Pop figures, one brand of merchandise ubiquitous with nerd culture is Funko and now a new set of Pokémon Funko Pops have been unveiled.

Pokémon Funko Pops

As reported on Prima Games, Funko has announced the new series of Pokémon Funko Pops on their official blog, confirming several Pokémon are finally receiving the Funko treatment. The new series marks the Funko debut of three fan-favorite Pokémon, as well as Mr. Mime! Very few Pokémon have become Funko Pops before this, with only Pikachu, Eevee, Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur represented.

This new line includes Vulpix, the powerful Mewtwo (quite timely considering Mewtwo’s birthday happened this week) and Pikachu’s little pal Pichu. The mysterious Mr. Mime also has a new Funko figure, likely due to his heavily utilized appearance in the Detective Pikachu film that released last year. The announcement does not mention a specific release window for these new Pokémon Funko Pops, with only a tease they were “coming soon.” Still, these adorable little Funkos are going to make diehard Pokémon fans wanna catch ‘em all.
