New Co-op Mode, Maps and Other Freebies Coming in Uncharted 4 Expansion Tomorrow
We learned last month with a reveal trailer that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End would be receiving a new Survival mode that would allow for co-operative multiplayer fighting against waives of enemies. The trailer mentioned that the mode would be coming in December, though what specific date and whether or not other free content would be coming in this update were not quite shown. Now, we not only know that the Uncharted 4 expansion containing Survival mode is coming tomorrow, December 14th, but we also know that this update comes with several other free additions as well.
NaughtyDog held a special livestream on their Twitch channel earlier today which demoed some gameplay from the new Survival Mode. Aside from the previously known details, we learned that this new mode will have matchmaking, new trophies that players can obtain and a hardcore mode, the latter of which will be added in 2017. A map was also shown listing Naughty Dog’s plans for future updates, which will include two major multiplayer updates in 2017.
Besides the Survival mode, the update to multiplayer tomorrow will also add five new weapons, which will include some weapons from previous games, as well as a heavy weapon. We can expect to see 10 additional levels, biker and warrior skins, and a King of the Hill mode as well. We will also see new maps, Prison and Trainwreck, which will also include music from Uncharted 2. This sounds like an awesome update, but I wonder if NaughtyDog will confirm whether or not this update also finalized Mark Wahlberg’s departure from the Uncharted movie? What do you guys think? Will you try anything out in the new Uncharted 4 expansion? What kind of mode would you like to see added to the game? Let us know in the comments below.
