It’s been a couple months since the official trailer for Alien Covenant was released to the world wide web. With its release, film makers sparked a growing interest in this prequel-sequel of frightening proportions and left us waiting with bated breath for a bit more information on this upcoming horror-adventure. Luckily for us, 20th Century Fox hasn’t kept us waiting long to tease a bit more of this story. Posted on Twitter, Fox has just released a new cast photo, and the image easily incites some pretty nasty chills for the viewer.

What’s that? Is that James Franco in the background?

You’re damn right it is! Back in December, it was announced that Franco would be joining the cast, though the reveal was met with some skepticism since the news didn’t come directly from Fox or other film creators. Now, with the release of the cast photo above, the news is officially confirmed that the Renaissance man will indeed be an honorary member of the seemingly doomed space expedition. From the look of it, Franco’s character doesn’t look like he’s doing too well, since he’s all swaddled up in that space blanket of his. Could he be infected with one of those nasty Xenomorph chest-bursters? Is he going to pull a John Hurt? We’ll just have to wait and see!

Aside from the cast reveal, Fox also hinted that they would be giving viewers a closer look at the upcoming film, in a teaser set to air during tonight’s episode of Legion. Perhaps we’ll get a closer look at what Franco’s character will be involved with during this new teaser. It’ll be nice to get a closer look at this, as of right now, still rather mysterious looking motion picture, so definitely make sure you tune in to tonight’s episode to sneak a peek into the terrifying story awaiting us.
