NetherRealm Responds to Vanishing Gear With New Injustice 2 Patch
A recent update has been going to town on players’ Injustice 2 gear. Players who recently updated the superhero fighting game had come to find that all their custom character gear and shaders completely disappeared. After the update went live, gamers from both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were quick to flood the internet with frenzied panic, all of whom were worried their hard-earned gear was gone forever. Developer NetherRealm Studios has now addressed concerns with a new Injustice 2 patch, but fans may not be completely happy with it.
UPDATE – a patch is now available for both PlayStation and Xbox users to address the deletion of Gear. Thank you for your patience!

Though the above mentioned patch promises to stop the deletion of gear, it makes no mention of restoring anything previously missing. This is likely intentional, as NetherRealm may have wanted to focus on stopping the problem before even more people were affected. That said, Injustice 2‘s latest Raiden-themed Watchtower livestream may provide a ray of hope, with the dev team letting gear-less players know they were looking at all available options to make things right again.
Until that time arrives, a few tricks have been floating around that claim to fully restore gear to their rightful owners. A small few say that rebooting your system or opening a Mother Box will do the trick, but none of these methods have seemed to work for the vast majority. Perhaps NetherRealm’s eventual answer to the problem will be more satisfying. Injustice 2 is out now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
What do you think? Can NetherRealm bring back everyone’s gear with another Injustice 2 patch, or will this awful update ruin the popular game forever?
