Yet another month has passed us by, but fortunately the upcoming month of August is there waiting for us, offering up a sweet selection of Netflix content for all of us collective consumers. The next stretch of weeks is looking topped off with original movie and TV programming, with plenty of older favorites sprinkled in for good measure. Among the biggest titles Netflix August 2018 has to offer, a few notables include the fantasy-based animated comedy Disenchantment, Christopher Nolan’s franchise-starter Batman Begins, and the epic penultimate season of Voltron: Legendary Defender.

The beginning of the month introduces the usual avalanche of content, including several big names such as The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino, while the modern classic thriller No Country for Old Men tumbles in later on. There’s also plenty of TV series headed to Netflix August 2018, with Season 2 of crime drama Ozark, the final season of CW’s The Originals, as well as new episodes of quirky afterlife comedy The Good Place.

In an act of balance that would very much please Marvel’s Thanos, this bevy of interesting additions also arrive with many notable subtractions. By the end of Netflix August 2018, we’ll say goodbye to the charmingly cheesy 80s animation Jem and the Holograms, the unyieldingly irreverent Sausage Party, and the haunting post-apocalyptic journey The Road.

The past month has had a few interesting breaks on the Netflix front, with several new series reaching a noteworthy milestone.
