Naughty Dog Confirms The Last Of Us Part II Setting

Controversial Trailer

Since the first trailer launch fans have been theorizing about the setting. Tearing apart trailers they’ve come up with some pretty interesting theories about The Last of Us Part II setting locations. The most agreed upon theory is that the location of the game will be set in Seattle, Washington. This weekend, Naughty Dog director Neil Druckmann sat down at a PlayStation Experience panel to discuss the game and, among his points, The Last of Us Part II setting. Druckmann then confirmed that a large part of the game will in fact  be set in Seattle. Where else the game may take place, and even where in Seattle has yet to be confirmed, however.

Us Two Setting

There has been some evidence that the game will include Millennium Tower among its locations (if not the adjacent parking garage). But there are plenty of attractive locations in Seattle that would add interest and value to the Last of Us Part II setting. With monuments and unique buildings both inland and on the coast, a lot of possibilities lie in store for Ellie as she undertakes her next adventure.

Overall the confirmation of The Last of Us Part II setting may have only made fans more curious instead of satiating their appetite for knowing as much as possible about the new title. The game is promising to step up on all fronts, making this next adventure a highly anticipated one. The Last of Us Part II is currently still in development with an exclusive PlayStation 4 release slated for sometime in the future.

What about The Last of Us Part II is already making it a game that will likely outshine its predecessor? Is the violence already portrayed over the top, or does it suit the setting? Join in on the conversation in the comment section below!
