Get Your Comfy Sweat Pants Ready – Mystery Science Theater 3000 Marathon on Twitch
For the Science fiction fan, nothing could be better than spending a week watching the classic comedy show, Mystery Science Theater 3000, for an opportunity to kick back, relax, and share a few laughs at the expense of some terrible sci-fi films. Luckily, that opportunity has risen, thanks to the efforts of Shout Factory and their Twitch channel. According to a recent press release, sci-fi lovers everywhere who may be looking for something interesting to watch have a chance to spend a week catching up (or reliving) this 80’s classic for 6 days straight, which is just long enough to marathon this hysterical classic if moviephiles are feeling a little nostalgic.
This press release from Shout Factory’s Twitch streaming service calls it “the most extensive collection of MST3K episodes ever assembled for a marathon.” The laugh out loud series began with its premier episode in 1988 on a local-broadcast network in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Once the show began to take off, MST3K soon developed a cult following, going on to air new seasons nationally on Comedy Central and the Sci-Fi Channel, running for years, before the series finally came to an end. Even still, with the chance to relive these classic moments with the show’s human narrator and his puppet companions sounds like a terrific way to spend some summer fun indoors. Fans can check out Mystery Science Theater 3000 on the Shout Factory Twitch channel here.
