Mortal Kombat 11 Director Teases Next DLC Character

Mortal Kombat 11 has been out for just over two months now, and the game has cemented itself as a new favorite for the fighting game community. At launch, the game already boasted a solid roster of favorite classic Mortal Kombat fighters and several new additions. However, many have been interested in what offerings will be made with new DLC for the game, particular the addition fighters. Shang Tsung recently released as the first DLC fighter with Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa reprising the role he portrayed in the Mortal Kombat film. Now, the Mortal Kombat 11 director has teased the second DLC fighter.

Mortal Kombat 11 director Ed Boon recently tweeted a new cryptic photo on his Twitter account regarding the new DLC fighter. The photo is of the fighter’s boots and tomahawk, which happens to be the signature weapon of the classic Native American Mortal Kombat fighter Nightwolf. It was previously confirmed that Nightwolf would be a DLC fighter, alongside Shang Tsung, Sindel and famed comic book hero Spawn.

Leakers had previously known about Nightwolf’s inclusion thanks to some crafty data mining work in the latest updates of the game. This work also found referencing to Mortal Kombat characters Fujin and Sheeva, as well as Batman villain The Joker And Ash from the Evil Dead franchise. It would seem that these are the likely future candidates for DLC fighters, who would certainly bring some new flavor to the game’s roster. Nightwolf’s return is surely to satisfy longtime fans, and make them howl into the night with their packs of fellow fans.
