The reveal event for Mortal Kombat 11 has officially kicked off, and fans couldn’t be more excited. A beautiful gameplay trailer kicked things off in glorious fashion, and the details kept rolling in after that.

One video that stood out during the event was the cinematic trailer, which revealed the prologue of things to come. “Raiden has upset the balance of history with the death of Shinnok,” the video’s description reads. “Tired of Earthrealm’s defiance, Kronika, The Keeper of Time will bring order to the universe through any means necessary.”

While the trailer doesn’t give everyone the full story, which it certainly isn’t meant to, it does paint a picture of what lies ahead. The Keeper of Time will certainly have something to say in the upcoming title, which definitely plays into the time travel aspect that was teased in the original announcement. Raiden seems to not be in the best place to be making rational decisions, and we can’t wait to see exactly what he does to disturb the realm at large.
