Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Might Be Headed To PlayStation 4 (UPDATED)
UPDATE 2/11 12:57 PM: Head of Armature Studios Jonathan Zamkoff released a statement showcasing that the rumor was based on a typo: “Unfortunately this was simply a typo by one of our web developers and is neither a leak nor indication that the MGS HD collection is coming to PS4. Or that Armature is working on any new MGS games.”

Hideo Kojima has made waves in the video game industry with a new studio under his name and an upcoming game mostly shrouded in mystery. Since his departure from the Metal Gear Solid franchise, it hasn’t been the same, but Konami is still doing well despite that. To evolve alongside the continuously improving consoles and systems available for video games, developer Armature may have news regarding a PlayStation 4 release for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
A loyal fan of the franchise with an attention to detail and led by procrastination noticed that Armature made a subtle change to the page hosting the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Notably, it seems as though the studio listed the the PS4 console as the available platforms. Since then, the page no longer contains the full list of platforms available for the collection. It seems that word had reached the team and wanted to keep it a little longer.
Thanks to Naninho205, a capture of the page was created before Armature took it down. With that being said, an official announcement has not been made by either publisher nor development studio. So, unfortunately, this will remain a rumor until confirmed. It does help with rather incriminating evidence pointing to another Sony release.
Currently, the platforms available for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection are PS3, PS Vita, and Xbox 360. It’s high time it arrives on more modern consoles. Would you purchase the this for PS4?
