Marvel’s Doctor Strange Confirmed to Return in Upcoming Thor: Ragnarok Film

Thor: Ragnarok

The red capes are coming! Disney has confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Mister Doctor Strange will join Thor in his next movie, Thor: Ragnarok. This news comes after several months of rumors that the mystical hero would appear in some capacity in the Marvel sequel. Speculation was fueled by not-so-subtle teasing by the studio and the mighty Thor’s inclusion in Doctor Strange’s mid-credit scene.

Thor: Ragnarok

Disney’s official fan website D23 revealed the medically-inclined sorcerer’s inclusion in this year’s film in a somewhat offhand synopsis:

“Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new.”

This revelation isn’t exactly surprising to eagle-eyed fans. A few months ago, various photos taken on the set of the Thor threequel hinted at the Asgardian’s search for a certain Doctor. I’ll give you a hint: It’s not Dr. Phil.

As we all know by now, Thor eventually found the Strange one and asked for his help finding Odin in the mid-credit scene of Doctor Strange. Little else is known about what the plot of Thor: Ragnarok will be other than the promise of Hulk wearing some sweet “Planet Hulk”-inspired gladiator armor.

Thor:Ragnarok will hit theaters on November 3, 2017.

Are you going to line up at the theater for when Thor, Hulk, and Doctor Strange team up? Do you think Loki will betray everyone again? Will Captain America’s Red Skull show up for no reason Leave your wisdom in the comment section below and be sure to conjure a portal to these other MCU articles!
