The Nintendo Switch is getting some upgraded Mario Kart fun! A new trailer has come to light showcasing an updated version of Mario Kart 8 for the Switch, being called Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The footage reveals a ton of new features that look to make this new release a must-get, even for those that purchased the original. The video can be seen below:

The trailer shows off the Deluxe edition’s new features which consist of content previously released as DLC in the Wii U version of the game. The “definitive version” of the game revamps the Battle mode of Mario Kart 8, which now has new arena-style courses. Balloon Battle is making a return as is Renegade Roundup, Bob-omb Blast, Shine Thief, and Coin Runners from the standard edition.

Gamers can play with up to 4 players locally on a single Switch system or with up to 12 when they play online. The trailer also confirms a new steering wheel JoyCon peripheral that will be sold alongside Mario Kart 8 Deluxe when it releases next month on April 28.
