Luigi’s Mansion 3 Announced For Nintendo Switch (VIDEO)
The Big N hosted another fantastic Nintendo Direct today and kicked things off with a bang by announcing Luigi’s Mansion 3 (working title) for the Nintendo Switch. This is especially surprising news considering we only recently heard about a Luigi’s Mansion remake for the 3DS, and the previous game in the series, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, didn’t exactly set the world on fire. Nonetheless, it’s awesome to see Luigi back to bustin’ more ghosts and being a big ol’ coward about nearly everything happening around him. Check out the reveal trailer for the game here:
As with the previous games in the series, Luigi is once again back in the mansion wielding his souped-up vacuum, the ‘Poltergust 3000.’ While only a few seconds of gameplay was shown during the Nintendo Direct, there is definitely a lot to get excited about here! Fans may have felt that Nintendo considered the Luigi’s Mansion series a B-tier franchise since the only recent announcement was relegated to a 3DS remake, but it’s great to be proved wrong!
In other Luigi’s Mansion news, Nintendo also took some time during the direct to showcase the upgraded visuals and new gameplay features they are pulling out for the 3DS remake. There will be a new two-player co-op mode and players will be able to play the game with their friends with only one copy of the game, just as a much greener version of “green Mario.”
Luigi’s Mansion 3 arrives on the Nintendo Switch at some point in 2019.
