Cyberpunk 2077 Featured On ‘Edge’ Magazine Cover

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 just keeps on delivering the goods after waking from a five-year social media slumber. CD Projekt RED doesn’t seem intent on slowing down the hype train that surrounds the futuristic RPG, and we are perfectly okay with that. In what appears to be an interesting move, however, the highly-anticipated title is being featured on a future cover of Edge Magazine.

Shared over on Reddit, the November issue of Edge Magazine features Cyberpunk 2077 in all of its neon glory. Alongside V, the game’s main protagonist, we see a short blurb stating that “CD Projekt’s open world raises the bar to staggering new heights.” From everything we’ve seen, it’s safe to say this is rather accurate. Check out the cover for yourself below:

What makes the upcoming magazine cover particularly interesting is that Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t expected to launch for a couple more years. It’s typically games that are closer to release that are given the honor of being presented front and center. Given that the CDPR title has garnered so much hype in recent months, it’s understandable to see it given this sort of attention.

Of course, this could also mean that Edge Magazine has an insider that is telling us that Cyberpunk 2077 will be arriving much sooner than we previously thought. Okay, that’s a huge stretch, as we know there is plenty left to do before launch. Sure, the game is playable from start to finish, but now begins the testing for bugs, fixing issues, adding, removing, tweaking, and so much more. Needless to say, there is still plenty of time before the RPG is released to the world.

For those unfamiliar with the upcoming title from CD Projekt RED, here’s a bit more:

“The game follows the story of V — a hired gun on the rise in Night City, the most violent and dangerous metropolis of the corporate-ruled future. A robust character creator will allow players to choose V’s gender, visual appearance, character class, as well as historical background — all of which may influence the shape of the game.

With dozens of hours of main story arc quests, and many more of additional activities, there’s always something to see and do in Night City. Players will experience all of it entirely through V’s eyes, with an interactive dialogue system that gives them greater narrative agency.”

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
