A new live action Origins trailer has been released from Ubisoft and it brings Assassin’s Creed to life in a matter of a minute and a half. The video itself features Bayek, the main protagonist of the newest game narrating images of daily life of the people in Egypt. Something dark lurks under their actions, however, and soon enough the Assassins plot is revealed.

The live action trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins, titled “I Am”, has quite the production value with stunning locations and excellent cinematography. It was directed by Daniel Wolfe (Catch Me Daddy) and the song “The Middle of the World” from the soundtrack for Moonlight. The video itself seems like a simple view of in early Egypt, however, the narrative directs the images towards a sinister end. Check it out in the newest video below:

As the 200 extras used to create this video eventually turn against the city they inhabit, Bayek speaks calmly of his life as an assassin, ending with an explanation of exactly who he is and what he stands for. The live action Origins trailer also featured dozens of different species of animals according to Ubisoft and was made with authentic film role.

The trailer dropped a little more than a week before the game’s highly anticipated release. If this doesn’t increase the hype, it’s impossible to tell what may pique the interest of gamers still questioning whether or not the game will be worth it. The latest installment in the Assassins Creed franchise will be available on October 27th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
