The 2016 Game Awards are just around the corner and it’s looking like Nintendo fans are going to be receiving a bit more footage of the upcoming Legend of Zelda title at the ceremony. Announced on both the Zelda Universe Twitter and Facebook, Nintendo will be featuring even more details on the upcoming title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which has been oddly silent since the game’s initial announcement at E3. If you won’t be attending the award ceremony in person, you can always watch the live stream of the event online. Starting at 5:30pm Pacific time, gamers interested in hearing about more details on Zelda: BOTW can watch the stream right here on DFTG to keep up to date with the latest and greatest that Nintendo has to offer for this long-running favorite.

While we know for certain that Zelda: BOTW will be available for both Wii U and Switch at some point, word has released that the game will not be featured as one of the Switch’s premier titles. Technical issues with localization for the brand new console had pushed back production for the title until December, and with the console’s release set for March, that doesn’t give developers enough time to test the game out on the system to ensure bugs and glitches are removed. Since Nintendo wants to give their fans a beautiful and memorable experience, we really can’t fault them for delaying the Switch title for the time being. At least fans will be treated with a more personal look at the game, and those who do own Wii U’s will have a chance to experience the magic first-hand.
