League Of Legends Summoner’s Rift Gets An Unreal Engine Fan Remake (VIDEO)
The League of Legends 5v5 ‘Summoner’s Rift’ arena has had many changes since its early days, though it has for the most part always retained the same charm and intricacy that has kept players coming back for more over the years. While the 5v5 map has enjoyed numerous cosmetic upgrades as well as plenty of tweaks and balances, one fan has gone above and beyond and created a complete rework of the League of Legends map using the Unreal Engine.
League of Legends fan Wayne S recently took to YouTube to reveal a 10-minute video showing off his re-creation of the Summoner’s Rift map in the Unreal Engine. Both the visuals and the lighting shown off in the video are absolutely staggering to behold, showing off an impressive level of details that League of Legends fans have only been able to enjoy through Riot Games’ official cinematics. Check it out below:
According to Wayne S, the project took around 3 weeks to complete at “about 4-5 hours each day” when he wasn’t working on what he considers to be his main project. Wayne S passes the project off as a simple learning experience, though with the level of detail shown it likely won’t be long before we see a similar level of intricacy in the League of Legends universe thanks to the numerous Riot Games spin-off titles now in development. Meanwhile, at least we get to enjoy how amazing this looks.
