“Timing is Everything” in Lethal Launch Trailer for Sniper Elite 4 (VIDEO)
A new trailer has dropped for the upcoming tactical shooter Sniper Elite 4. The action-packed promo flaunts the series’ signature ambiguous and stealth-based gameplay. The stylishly violent footage shows off protagonist Karl Fairburne as he takes out an entire squad of enemy Fascists, Jason Bourne style, using lethal and undeniably clever methods. Explosions, throat slits, and yes, sniping are not on the list of things the Office of Strategic Services agent is shy about.
The next chapter of Fairburne’s adventure begins in World War II ravaged 1943, where his continued fight against the Nazi-esque Fascists brings him to become allied with the Italian Resistance. Taking place directly after Sniper Elite 3, the fourquel aims to portray “a sniper’s paradise” and offer a larger and more vertical game world to a degree unseen in previous games in the series. Perhaps a sniper mission atop the Leaning Tower of Pisa is in order?
Sniper Elite 4 will also have a season pass available for purchase at launch, teasing three additional campaign missions, a camouflage rifle skin, and three huge content expansion packs containing new weapons, skins, and characters. Highlighting the season pass is the “Target: Führer” campaign mission, which guarantees over 30 different ways to snuff out everyone’s (least)favorite genocidal dictator, Adolf Hitler. We’re sure many will learn to have fun with that mission when Sniper Elite 4 arrives on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 14th.
