Hearthstone’s Knights of the Frozen Throne Expansion Releases Next Week
Hearthstone will soon release the latest expansion Knights of the Frozen Throne and that means no “deck is safe from the Lich King’s evil influence”. It seems not even Jaina can refuse the temptation of his offers. Coming August 10th, 2017, Knights of the Frozen Throne will have 135 brand new cards to build your deck with and it features a plethora of Lifesteal cards, taunts, and the Deathrattle ability. In fact, all classes can access life-stealing minions because of the Lifesteal keyword. None of this is possible without icy themed characters and designs, of course. A new card type called Legendary Hero will be introduced this time around which transforms normal heroes into “terrifying Death Knights”.
There are interesting Lifesteal cards such as Spirit Lash, Chillblade Champion, Acolyte of Agony, and Leeching Poison to name a few. For a full list of all the cards arriving with Knights of the Frozen Throne, check out the link here. Otherwise, here a few to glance over:
Unlike the Journey to Un’Goro expansion that released earlier this year, there will be a focus on solo missions as players battle for the Icecrown. Whether it’s Sindragosa, Professor Putricide, Blood Queen Lana’thel, Lady Deathwhisper, Lord Marrowgar, Deathbringer Saurfang, of the Lich King himself. Be warned though, champion, for the he is known for “unorthodox strategies”.
Fight your way through Icecrown, take on the Scourge’s most terrifying leaders, and ultimately face off against the Lich King himself in a series of solo missions that will pose a significant challenge to even the most experienced Hearthstone players. The task before you is great, but so are your rewards!”
For those who purchase the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion, there will be plenty of rewards and free packs that come with unlocking parts of the campaign. For example, just by beating the prologue mission, players will receive a free Death Knight card for their efforts. Pre-orders for the fifty pack bundle are available now at $49.99.
