Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX And HD 2.8 Coming To Xbox One In 2020

It seems like only yesterday that Kingdom Hearts III officially released, much to the excitement of fans dying to play the finale of Sora’s story on their preferred console of choice. Though earlier entries in the series tended to land on the Sony side of things, KH3 was a welcome addition to the Xbox One library, and now it appears that even more Kingdom Hearts goodness is headed Microsoft’s way. It has been announced at X019 that two of the earlier Kingdom Hearts titles will be headed to Xbox One next year.

Square Enix and Microsoft announced at X019 that both Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will be available on the Xbox One in 2020. A more specific window wasn’t announced, though they will likely be surfacing prior to the middle of the year. Check out the reveal tweet below:

At first glance it may seem like only games are coming to the Xbox One, though it should be noted that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX includes Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, 358/2 days (HD remastered cinematics), as well as Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and Re:coded (more HD remastered cinematics). The latter game, on the other hand, includes Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-, and Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover. That’s a whole lot of Disney/Square Enix to unpack, and it won’t be too much longer until Xbox players will have their hands on the massive bundle.

The two titles are set to release for Xbox One next year.
