Injustice 2 Fans Point Out Enchantress Similarities To Mortal Kombat Character

Enchantress Similarities

We’ve finally got our first look at Enchantress in Injustice 2 this past week and the bold bewitcher’s move set is pretty powerful to say the least. NetherRealm Studios has imbued the sorceress with several soul-dominating moves, a quality that could initially compare her to Mortal Kombat‘s own collector of souls Shang Tsung. Fans on the interweb have instead found Enchantress similarities to another of NetherRealm’s considerable character rosters, Quan Chi the demon necromancer.

Following the announcement trailer, viewers couldn’t help but see a few displayed abilities that seemed familiar to fighting game fans. The glaring similarities to Quan Chi are hard to ignore, from the two characters’ green-colored magic, their appreciation for villainy, and more blatantly, their shared ability to send opponents into a trance. Makes sense, given that both franchises belong to NetherRealm, but this makes her reveal even better for fans of this particular badass.

Twitter users were ensnared themselves by the fighters’ stark power resemblance, pointing out the likeness in a series of posts. While it’s easy to expect negativity regarding NetherRealm’s supposed recycling, most were able to appreciate Enchantress’ uniquely-spun conjuring abilities. Here’s a few reactions below:
