The Hilarious Destiny 2 Honest Trailer Has Arrived! (VIDEO)
If you’re a fan of an epic narrator taking a swing at video games, you’ll be happy to hear that Smosh Games has released their Destiny 2 Honest Trailer. Having only arrived on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One just a couple weeks ago, Bungie’s follow-up to 2014’s seems to be an improvement to the franchise. This, of course, didn’t stop the people known for the Honest Game Trailers series from giving it the old college try.
After an initial title that took years to figure out what it wanted to be, discover a sequel that really doesn’t want to screw that up, as Destiny 2 dishes out the usual three character classes, and has you fighting all the same bad guys from the first game, in an experience that would definitely feel like an expansion pack, if they hadn’t booted your ass back to level one at the start.”
The narrator digs into a bit of the story, letting viewers know that they’ll be spending a good amount of time “trying to get the gang back together.” This is due to the Red Legion coming in and screwing everything up. Even saying the game feels like Halo at times, the Destiny 2 Honest Trailer does not shy away from the fact that Bungie brought in microtransactions, but “drips out just enough for free to keep you tantalized.”
It’s not all bad, however. The narrator does make mention of Bungie listening to complaints about the first game. He even goes on to say that the shooting is as good as it has ever been. At the end of the day, Destiny 2 seems to be doing pretty well on the PS4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, PC players still need to wait until October 24.
