Halo Infinite's Lead Producer Reportedly Leaves 343 Industries

Halo has been a major part of the Xbox franchise for quite a long time. Since the days of the original Xbox, the two have been working together to bring compelling stories through space, fighting against alien hordes and uncovering the histories of the universe. Halo Infinite is looking to continue this tradition as a launch title for Microsoft’s next Xbox console, Project Scarlett. Still, there have been a few concerns after seeing multiple high-level developers from 343 Industries leave the company and the project altogether, and now one more developer appears to have joined the ranks of those who left.

When Tim Longo left 343 Industries it was revealed that Mary Olson – who was the executive producer at the time – would be taking over the role of lead producer for Halo Infinite. A recent discovery from a fan on ResetEra, however, indicates that Olson has left the team as well. Heading to Olson’s LinkedIn page shows that the developer has moved to Midwinter Entertainment as of October of this year, the same place that former 343 Industries studio head Josh Holmes is currently working in production and design. There’s been no official statement on recent changes within the development team at 343 Industries but as mentioned when Tim Longo left, “the overall creative vision and production of the game remains led by Chris Lee, Studio Head of Halo Infinite.”

Halo Infinite is set to release as a launch title for Project Scarlett but currently doesn’t have a solid release date. They are both expected to release in the Holiday season of 2020.
