Grand Theft Auto 6 Rumor Points To Possible Release Date (VIDEO)
With Rockstar Games’ next big video game project not having been officially announced yet, rumors have abounded as to what their next title might be, with Grand Theft Auto VI being the most popular theory. There have been a variety of rumors and leaks that have pointed to Grand Theft Auto 6 being next on deck, such as a job listing made by Rockstar. What hasn’t been as commonly leaked in regards to GTA 6 has been its potential release window. Now, a new series of advertisements may point to the Grand Theft Auto 6 release window.
YouTube user ZacCoxTV recently released a new video detailing their findings related to the Grand Theft Auto 6 release date rumor, and provides an explanation for them. The rumors mainly come from a series of spanish Google sponsored advertisements that have appeared when various sources have conducted searches for “GTA 6”. The ads include the mentioning of a “PlayStation Megapack” bundle that would include a copy of Grand Theft Auto 6. The most interesting new development suggested by these ads is that the bundle would be released during the holiday season of 2020.
While many in the industry that the PlayStation 5 will indeed launch in time for the holiday season of 2020, some are skeptical about these ads being truthful about Grand Theft Auto 6’s existence, let alone its position as a potential bundle title. First, the ads provide a link for purchasing, but when clicked, they would only lead to the official PlayStation website homepage. Also, some of the ads have contained mispellings or refer to the PS6 as its codename “Project Americas”, which is an uncommon practice. There is always a chance that Grand Theft Auto 6 could be announced at an event like The Game Awards 2019 soon, but the popular opinion seems to be that a 2020 bundle release might just be a slippery slope down the San Andreas fault.
