Darksiders Genesis Nephilim Edition Includes Full Board Game (VIDEO)

Earlier this year, Gunfire Games and company revealed Darksiders Genesis – a top-down action adventure title based on the Darksiders franchise. Slated to release on all platforms eventually, PC and Google Stadia folks will get an earlier release date set next month. For fans of the series, the team released the first 16 minutes of action-packed gameplay to further pique our interest. Check it out:

Players get to take on angels and demons with two varying skill sets as War and Strife. It is their goal to wipe out master demons sent out by Lucifer. After the events of Eden, the two must set off to gain intel, discover the “demonic conspiracy that threatens to forever upset the Balance and unravel all of creation.”

According to the website, the official synopsis reads: “From the dawn of creation, the council has maintained the Balance across existence. Carrying out their orders are the Horsemen, Nephilim (powerful beings spawned from the unnatural union of angels and demons) who have pledged themselves to the Council and been granted immense power. However, this power came at a tragic cost: the Horsemen were ordered to use their newfound strength to wipe out the rest of their kind. What followed was a bloody battle on Eden where the Horsemen, obeying the will of the Council, annihilated the Nephilim.”

In addition to the enticing story, Darksiders Genesis features a two-player cooperative mode, abilities, weapon enhancements, and a “frenetic, single-player” experience.
