New DLC Increases Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ Level Cap and More – Here are the Details

The time has come again for a new DLC to be released for the latest entry in the Ghost Recon franchise. Well, not yet, but it will be available very soon. Recently detailed on the UbiBlog, the upcoming Fallen Ghosts is going to include a plethora of goodies for players to enjoy, including maps, weapons, and it even brings an increase to Wildlands‘ level cap. First, let’s get a little backstory on what is to come:

Fallen Ghosts is a direct continuation of Ghost Recon Wildlands main story. Following the fall of the Santa Blanca Cartel, the Unidad military force is having a hard time maintaining stability – causing our fictionalized Bolivia to descend into civil war. In a bid to restore order, they issue a call to arms: anyone willing to help rebuild the country is welcome to join. This attracts the attention of rough sorts – disgraced Special Forces squads, ex-cartel members, mercenaries and criminals from right across South America – all after a chance to grab some of the Santa Blanca’s old infrastructure for their own gain.”

Naturally, as a result of this, new faction Los Extranjeros emerges and they are none too pleased with “American agents still holed up on Bolivian soil.” Of course, the Ghosts are then tasked with the final mission of extracting every US citizen from Bolivia. Helicopter gets shot down, our protagonists are stranded, and Los Extranjeros is closing in. Chaos ensues as the new faction contains four types of baddies:

  • Armored are equipped with heavy bulletproof plates, making them especially dangerous in close combat
  • Elite Snipers have advanced movement detectors, allowing them to spot far away targets and never miss a shot
  • Jammers have jamming equipment in their backpack, letting them neutralize drones and interfere with electronic equipment
  • Covert Ops have a new prototype cloaking device that makes them almost invisible, plus a powerful crossbow

The Fallen Ghosts DLC will include 15 campaign missions, nine new skills that are unlockable, including drone, weapon, and physical skills, and six new weapons to help take on Los Extranjeros. As mentioned above, the new content will also also make an increase in Wildlands‘ level cap from 30 to 35. Fallen Ghosts will be arriving on May 30 for Season Pass holders, while those purchasing it individually will need to wait until June 6. To see a bit more of the action, check out the gallery below:
