Fortnite Announces Marvel Knockout Super Series With Free Daredevil Outfit
The Man Without Fear is finally coming to Fortnite! That’s right, Daredevil himself is officially coming to the massively popular battle royale title, and skilled players will even have a chance to earn his outfit prior to its scheduled release on the Item Shop.
Fortnite recently announced a new Marvel Knockout Super Series featuring four competitive cups that revolve around the Marvel Knockout game mode. The four cups lead into a final tournament with a grand prize of $1,000,000, so it’ll definitely be worth entering if you’re able to assemble a mighty ‘Super Hero’ team to get the job done.
As the first cup has been confirmed to be The Daredevil Cup, it’s only fitting that players will get a chance to snag an early release of the new Daredevil outfit prior to its official arrival on the Item Shop. According to Epic Games, The Daredevil Cup kicks off this Wednesday, October 14, and top teams in each region will be rewarded with the Daredevil Outfit. The other three cups are scheduled for next month, so teams will have a chance to cool off and recuperate following their dramatic victory or, well, their tragic defeat.
Curious about the Marvel Knockout Fortnite game mode? Here’s the breakdown courtesy of Epic:
“Marvel Knockout is a spin on Operation: Knockout that sees your team utilize super-powers to be the best team on the tournament bracket. Battle alongside your team against foes in a 4-round knockout fight! Each round your team will be given a different set of powers to battle opponents with mirrored abilities!”
Fortnite is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
