Flavourworks’ Live-Action Game ‘Erica’ Revealed At Paris Games Week 2017 (VIDEO)

A mysterious game was revealed at Paris Games Week 2017 and it’s certainly mysterious and thrilling. Flavourworks game studio and SIE London revealed today their live-action game titled Erica that mixes real acting with tactile choices and enigmatic storyline featuring none other than the main character Erica. Caught between believing a voice who “has been watching her for a very long time” and an organization after her as well, the player controls the choices she makes that will shape the entirety of her future. Check out the video below for a teasing look at the gameplay style:

Flavourworks latest title is an innovative approach to story-telling and video games. With the run-time of a feature length film, Erica offers a movie-like, live-action experience within video games. Players experience and shape what they would like to see corresponding to the interaction within the game. The question is: what will you do?

Erica allows you to immerse yourself in live-action video and make tactile choices through physical touch, offering a seamlessly flowing experience. Within the branching narrative, every choice has a profound effect on what the player will see next, with frequent decisions allowing continuous interaction.”

No release date has been revealed for Erica yet, but as Paris Games Week unfolds, there will be more information on the way. Based on the tingly trailer they Flavourworks showcased at the conference, what do you think of their approach to story-telling and interaction?
