First 4 Figures ‘Praises the Sun’ with High-End Solaire of Astora Statues Coming Soon (VIDEO)
Tell me … do you praise? Collectible figure-making company First 4 Figures has officially announced the newest addition to their Dark Souls figure line, Solaire of Astora! First 4 Figures is opening up a two week preorder period for the ‘Sunbro’ statue beginning on March 21, running alongside a live stream that will feature a Q&A regarding the statue.
Solaire of Astora is arguably the most well-known and beloved NPC within the Dark Souls series. A jovial knight clad in armor depicting the sun he worships, Solaire has proven to be a beacon of hope (and jolly cooperation) to players looking to summon aid from the sunlight covenant to assist in fighting back the darkness that permeates the dying world where all three games take place.
There will be three different versions of the Solaire of Astora statue, all of which can be seen above in the ‘making of’ video. The first version of the statue features Solaire in his ‘praise the sun’ gesture, complete with a die-cast sword and base for him to stand on. The retail price for this statue is set at $294.99. The second version of the statue once again depicts Solaire praising the sun, this time while holding his sword and shield in his hands. The base this time around comes with a sunlight symbol which can light up. This version of the statue will run you $344.99. The last version of the statue, dubbed the ‘Praise the Sun’ version, depicts what Solaire looks like when he is summoned. This is done through the use of clear resin with LEDs coursing through his body. The LEDs feature a pulsing effect that pulses from the bottom to the top of his arms. This special version of the statue is charged through micro-USB, and is only available between Tuesday and Friday on the week of the Q&A. The cost of the Praise the Sun version is $369.99. An exclusive bundle price of $639.99 is also available for those looking to pick up the sword + shield and Praise the Sun versions of the statues at the same time.
Dark Souls III is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game’s newest expansion, The Ringed City, arrives on March 28.
