A Limited Edition version of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia was announced as well as details of the Amiibo characters and how they will affect the game. The 3DS re-imagining of the Japanese exclusive Fire Emblem Gaiden is already highly anticipated by itself, but for just an extra $2o you can take home some pretty sweet goodies alongside the game. The Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Limited Edition includes:

• The game, of course.
• A hardcover artbook.
• A “sound selection” CD.
• A pin set showing off the characters Celica, Alm, and Marth.
• A reversible cover that is made to look like the box art of Fire Emblem Gaiden.

You will be able to pick up your copy of the Limited Edition on May 19th for only $60 as well as the Celica and Alm Amiibo figure bundle for $25. In a press release, Nintendo said that the Amiibo characters will be used to unlock “their own exclusive dungeons”, giving you more chances to level up and gain new items by beating these extra levels. On top of that, the Mila’s Turnwheel feature allows you to use one of your Amiibos to sacrifice one of their health during a battle which will call an “illusory hero” who is an AI controlled ally who will fight with you for one turn. What is really cool is that as Celica and Alm level up, you can even save their new stats to their Amiibo which will boost the illusory hero when summoned. Also any of the Fire Emblem Amiibos from the Super Smash Bros line can also call forth an illusory hero and all other figures will summon a monster when used to help you.
